WHAT IS MADEROTHERAPY?
Madero therapy also known as wood therapy uses purposefully shaped wooden tools to manipulate targeted areas of muscle, fat and cellulite, stimulating the lymphatic drainage system to rid the body of stored toxins. It is a 100% natural non-invasive technique from Columbia. Wood therapy is a massage treatment that helps sculpt the body and removes cellulite.
Maderotherapy is different from fat reduction in that it targets both the deepest layers and surface level of cellulite tissue. This therapy is also effective for reducing fluid retention, draining the affected areas, resulting in the reduction of pain associated with fluid retention, while also improving its appearance.

WHAT AREAS OF THE BODY CAN BE TREATED?
All parts of the body where stubborn adiposity resides; therefore stomach and thighs are the most appropriate areas but there’s no real limitation regarding body areas. We can target a specific area to help you say goodbye to unwanted fat!
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?
Full treatments can vary from body to body. Some ladies will need 8 massages and some at least 12. Also, many clients prefer to come only once a month to have regular care of their body. In this way, we regularly work on reducing water retention, preventing the formation of new cellulite and feeling better. We recommend one massage first and after that we will give you a professional opinion on how many massages you would need for the treatment to be the most beneficial.
HOW OFTEN CAN I HAVE THE TREATMENT?
The body requires 72 hours to eliminate fat and toxins after a treatment therefore treatments can only be provided with the minimum gap of every 3 days.
WHAT TO DO BEFORE THE TREATMENT?
Before your treatment you should be eating healthily and following a low fat diet. Hydration is paramount so we recommend you drink at least 2 litres of water in the 24 hours leading up to your wood therapy appointment.
I would recommend avoiding too heavy exercises to make sure the muscles are not tense.
WHAT TO DO AFTER THE TREATMENT?
Drink plenty of water! Drinking water after wood therapy helps the detoxification process. Try to drink between 2 – 2.5 liters within the first 24 hours after treatment.
I highly recommend herbs and teas that support the detoxification process (during the treatment you will be offered some of the best detox teas I have found that have been the most beneficial to my clients in the past). While wood therapy is a great tool to help to contour your body, it will not compensate for a healthy and active lifestyle. Eat a healthy diet!
CONTRAINDICATIONS?
This therapy is not recommended for people with heart problems, people with very pronounced varicocele veins and extremlely sensitive skin and pregnant people.
IS MADEROTHERAPY LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE?
Lymphatic drainage is part of Maderotherapy but it’s a different treatment. If you need classic lymphatic drainage, please let us know before your arrival. Lymphatic drainage massage is a form of gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body. It is a necessary treatment for post – surgery care because it helps prevent fibrosis, shape the body, activate the lymphatic system, improve fluid retention and reduce the pain and stiffness. The fluid in the lymphatic system helps remove waste and toxins from the bodily tissues. After surgery, lymphatic drainage massage will speed healing and reduce scar tissue and inflammation.
